Protections

The charger has a range of protections, making it very practical and safe to use.

• Reverse polarity protection, blocks power from reaching the output leads if reversed polarity is detected.
• Short-circuit protection, power to the output leads will be blocked.
• Overvoltage protection, kicks in if the charging voltage is set differently from the detected parameter.
• Battery diagnostics function, the charger continuously monitors the battery's condition and can report a charging error as an error code.
• Overheat protection, the charger will reduce the charging current, or even shut down completely, if overheating is detected. Once cooled down, the charger will automatically resume operation.

How to charge the battery?

1. Connect the RED charging clamp to the + POSITIVE terminal on the battery.

2. Connect the BLACK charging clamp to the - NEGATIVE terminal on the battery (when charging a battery in a vehicle, we recommend connecting the BLACK charging clamp to the engine block).

3. Plug it into a power outlet and switch on the charger.

Charging and repair function

In addition to the standard charging mode, the device has a repair mode.

Repair mode is an advanced mode for reviving old, unused, damaged, delaminated or sulphated batteries.

Note: Not every battery can be repaired.

Charging parameter display

Gives you extra control over your battery's condition. A large display shows the current charging current, mode, and the battery's current voltage. You can also see the state of charge as a percentage.
