Multiswitch LINBOX MS916E 9/16 - 2 Satellites + Terrestrial TV, 16 Outputs
The LINBOX MS916E is a 9/16 Stand Alone-type terminal multiswitch, designed for extended RTV/SAT installations. It lets you distribute the signal from two satellite positions plus a terrestrial TV antenna to 16 independent subscriber outputs.
This model has 8 SAT inputs - four paths for each satellite - plus 1 terrestrial ANT input. It's a practical solution for houses, guesthouses, offices and shared antenna installations that need to serve a larger number of receivers.
Key features of the LINBOX MS916E
- 9/16 multiswitch - 9 inputs and 16 subscriber outputs
- MS916E Stand Alone terminal version
- Supports 2 satellite positions
- 8 SAT inputs - 4 each for SAT A and SAT B
- 1 ANT input for terrestrial TV
- 16 independent subscriber outputs
- Works with 2 QUATTRO converters
- Distributes satellite and terrestrial TV signal
- Supports DVB-S / DVB-S2 and DVB-T / DVB-T2 installations
- Type F connectors
- Sturdy metal housing
- Designed for indoor RTV/SAT installations
16 independent subscriber outputs
The MS916E multiswitch is fitted with 16 outputs, so it can deliver signal to 16 independent subscriber lines. Each line can be run with a coaxial cable to an RTV/SAT outlet or directly to a receiver.
This lets users independently choose programmes and transponders available in the satellite installation, with no need for a separate antenna for each receiver.
Supports two satellite positions
The LINBOX MS916E has 8 satellite inputs split into two sets: SAT A and SAT B. Each satellite uses four signal paths:
- Low Band - Vertical (VL),
- Low Band - Horizontal (HL),
- High Band - Vertical (VH),
- High Band - Horizontal (HH).
This lets you build an installation receiving signal from two different orbital positions, e.g. the popular Hot Bird + Astra combination.
Works with QUATTRO converters
For a standard two-satellite installation, the multiswitch works with two QUATTRO-type converters. Each converter delivers four fixed paths: VL, HL, VH and HH, connected to the correspondingly labelled SAT A or SAT B inputs.
Important: don't confuse a QUATTRO converter with a QUAD converter. QUATTRO has four outputs with fixed bands and polarities and is designed specifically for use with multiswitches.
Terrestrial TV in the same installation
The extra ANT input lets you feed a terrestrial TV antenna signal into the system. This means the installation can distribute both satellite signals and the DVB-T/T2 signal using shared coaxial cabling.
Stand Alone terminal version
The MS916E model is a Terminal Multiswitch / Stand Alone version. It's designed to work as the final element of an installation, which sets it apart from the cascadable MS916C model.
If your installation doesn't need to pass the nine signal buses on to a further multiswitch, the MS916E version is the right choice.

Applications
The LINBOX MS916E multiswitch can be used in, among others, detached houses, larger flats, guesthouses, hotels, offices, and small to medium shared RTV/SAT installations.
LINBOX MS916E - 2 satellites and 16 receiving points
The LINBOX MS916E 9/16 combines the ability to receive two satellite positions, terrestrial TV signal, and support for as many as 16 independent subscriber outputs. It's designed for installations that need centralised, organised RTV/SAT signal distribution to many rooms.
Note: the model offered here is the MS916E - Stand Alone terminal version. Don't confuse it with the cascadable MS916C model.
