The LINBOX MS908E is a 9/8 terminal multiswitch designed for extended RTV/SAT installations. It lets you distribute the signal from two independent satellite positions plus a terrestrial TV antenna to up to 8 independent subscriber points.

The device has 8 SAT inputs - four for each satellite - plus 1 terrestrial ANT input. This means each of the eight outputs can carry the full set of RTV/SAT signals over a single coaxial cable.

Two satellites in one installation

The MS908E model is designed for installations where the user wants to use signal from two different satellites. The multiswitch has two complete sets of satellite inputs:

• SAT A: Low Band V, Low Band H, High Band V, High Band H
• SAT B: Low Band V, Low Band H, High Band V, High Band H

Each set needs its own QUATTRO-type converter connected. This means each of the eight receivers can use the satellite of its choice according to the tuner's configuration.

8 independent subscriber outputs

The multiswitch is fitted with 8 subscriber outputs, letting you feed the signal to eight independent receiving points. Each output can be run with a separate cable to an RTV/SAT wall outlet, tuner or compatible decoder.

This solution works well in detached houses, multi-family buildings, guesthouses, offices and other properties needing access to two satellite positions across several rooms.

DVB-T/T2 terrestrial TV

Besides its eight satellite inputs, the LINBOX MS908E also has an ANT input for the terrestrial TV signal. This lets you combine the DVB-T/T2 signal with the SAT signal and distribute it over a single coaxial cable to each subscriber point.

Works with QUATTRO converters

For the installation to work correctly, you need two QUATTRO converters - one for each satellite position. Each has four dedicated outputs corresponding to a specific band and polarity.

Connect the cables to the multiswitch according to the markings:

• VL - low band, vertical polarity,
• HL - low band, horizontal polarity,
• VH - high band, vertical polarity,
• HH - high band, horizontal polarity.

Important: a QUATTRO converter is not the same as a QUAD. Use the correct QUATTRO converters with four fixed signal paths for this multiswitch.
