The LINBOX MS508E is a 5/8 terminal multiswitch designed for building shared RTV/SAT installations. The device lets you distribute the signal from one satellite and a terrestrial TV antenna to up to 8 independent subscriber outlets.

The multiswitch has 4 SAT inputs for the four paths of a QUATTRO-type converter and 1 terrestrial antenna input. Eight subscriber outputs let you run a combined RTV/SAT signal to individual rooms over a single cable each.

8 independent subscriber outputs

The MS508E multiswitch is fitted with 8 subscriber outputs. Each output can be run with a separate coaxial cable to the corresponding wall outlet or receiver.

This solution works well in detached houses, multi-family buildings, guesthouses, offices and other properties where satellite and terrestrial TV signal needs to reach several rooms.

1 satellite + terrestrial TV

The LINBOX MS508E has a total of 5 signal inputs. Four of them are for the signal from a QUATTRO satellite converter:

• Low Band - Vertical,
• Low Band - Horizontal,
• High Band - Vertical,
• High Band - Horizontal.

The fifth input, labelled ANT, is for connecting the terrestrial TV antenna. This means the SAT and terrestrial signal can be distributed over a shared coaxial installation.

Works with a QUATTRO converter

To correctly feed the multiswitch's four satellite inputs, you need to use a QUATTRO-type converter. Each of its four outputs delivers a specific band and polarity, which must be connected to the corresponding inputs on the multiswitch.

Important: a QUATTRO converter is not the same as the popular QUAD converter. In a multiswitch installation, pay close attention to correctly matching the VL, HL, VH and HH cables.

DVB-S2 and DVB-T2 support

This multiswitch is designed to distribute satellite and terrestrial TV signal. The markings on the device indicate compatibility with the DVB-S2 and DVB-T2 standards, so it can be used in modern RTV/SAT installations.
