This cable lets you easily use any 12V-to-230V inverter in your car, powered by 12V or 24V DC.
Especially useful for higher-power inverters (over 600W), for which manufacturers don't normally include a cigarette lighter power cable, due to the risk of burning out the socket when connecting a high-power-draw device
Sometimes, however, you need to connect a device drawing up to 300W, and that's exactly what this cable is for, no need to stop the car or open the bonnet to run a device requiring 230V power in your vehicle.
Of course, when connecting power tools of 500-600W, you should use the cables included with the inverter that end in crocodile clips, which should be connected directly to the battery.
