A Power over Ethernet (PoE) adapter lets you power devices on LAN networks using a 4-pair twisted cable (e.g. UTP). Using this solution, you can power an Access Point housed in a sealed enclosure near the antenna (to reduce losses on the antenna cable) using a power adapter located inside the building. An LED indicates the power adapter is connected to the PoE adapter. The adapter can be used with devices that can be powered via the Ethernet (RJ-45) port at a voltage other than 48V.
