🔴 How does the alarm barrier work?

The barrier consists of two components, a transmitter and a receiver. Once correctly set up, the devices form an invisible protective zone between them using two infrared beams.

Crossing the protected area and breaking the beams generates an alarm signal.

The signal is relayed by wire to the alarm control panel. If the system is armed, the control panel can then trigger the siren and, depending on the model and configuration, send an SMS or make a phone call.

The maximum stated distance between the transmitter and receiver is as much as 250 metres.

⚡ Power supply and connection

Both the transmitter and the receiver require a 12V power supply. The unit relaying the alarm signal also needs wires connected for communication with the alarm control panel's wired input.

🛠️ Wall or pole mounting

The barrier can be mounted on a suitable surface so that the transmitter and receiver are positioned exactly opposite each other.

The set also includes 2 mounting clamps, which make it easier to install the devices on a pipe or pole.

During installation, make sure both components are mounted securely. Do not aim the receiver directly at strong sunlight, as this can affect the barrier's proper operation.
