The LINBOX MS516E is a 5/16 Stand Alone-type terminal multiswitch, designed for distributing satellite and terrestrial TV signal to 16 independent receiving points.

The device has 4 SAT inputs designed to work with a QUATTRO-type converter, plus 1 terrestrial antenna input. With 16 subscriber outputs, it works well for larger home and shared RTV/SAT installations.

16 independent subscriber outputs

The MS516E model lets you distribute RTV/SAT signal to as many as 16 independent subscriber lines. Each output can be run with a coaxial cable to an RTV/SAT outlet or receiver.

This solution works great in detached houses, guesthouses, offices and other properties where the antenna signal needs to reach many rooms.

Works with a QUATTRO converter

The LINBOX MS516E multiswitch has four satellite inputs corresponding to the different signal bands and polarities:

• VL - low band, vertical polarity,
• HL - low band, horizontal polarity,
• VH - high band, vertical polarity,
• HH - high band, horizontal polarity.

Connect the corresponding outputs of a QUATTRO-type converter to the SAT inputs. This lets the multiswitch make the required satellite signal range available independently to each receiver.

Note: don't confuse a QUATTRO converter with a QUAD converter. Multiswitch installations use a QUATTRO converter with four outputs assigned to fixed bands and polarities.

Terrestrial TV in one installation

Besides its four satellite inputs, this device has an ANT input, letting you feed in a terrestrial TV antenna signal. This means SAT and DVB-T/T2 signals can be distributed over a shared coaxial installation.

Stand Alone terminal version

The LINBOX MS516E is a Stand Alone-type terminal multiswitch. It's designed for installations that don't need to pass the SAT/TV bus on to a further multiswitch.
