LINBOX Bolt Lock with Cylinder

Description

LINBOX bolt locks are an alternative to the electric strikes commonly used in access control systems, or a complement to them in openings that require additional electromechanical security. A bolt lock consists of an actuator containing an electromagnet that, when voltage is applied, extends or retracts a movable bolt (depending on the lock type). The main unit is mounted in or on the door frame. The movable bolt enters a prepared hole in the door leaf, locking it against opening. Depending on the lock model, the maximum force on the door at which the bolt can be sheared off is 800 or 1000 kg.

Bolt locks are available in both a standard version (NC, door locked with no power) and a reversible version (NO, door unlocked with no power, door secured once power is applied)

Additional "S" and "U" type mounting brackets allow the lock to be surface-mounted or used to secure glass doors.

Auto-lock

The bolt lock is equipped with an automatic locking system. If, after the control signal triggers and the lock releases, the door is not physically opened, it will lock again after about 5-9 seconds from the end of the control pulse.

Status signal

The bolt lock is equipped with an NO contact that can be used in the access control system to indicate the door's position. The contact stays closed when the door leaf is directly in the frame (the magnetic plate is under the lock, a signal independent of the power state). This lets you relay information, e.g. to an alarm system, informing it of the door's status.

Time delay

The lock lets you set a time delay after which it will lock the door. This time can be set using the microswitches on the lock housing. Available settings: 0 / 3 / 6 seconds of delay after the door is physically closed.
