Satellite Decoder OPTICUM SLOTH Classic - HDMI, LAN, USB, SCART, S/PDIF

The OPTICUM SLOTH Classic is a functional satellite decoder designed for receiving digital satellite TV. The device is fitted with a wide range of connectors, so it can work with newer TVs via HDMI as well as older equipment fitted with SCART or analogue RCA inputs.

The front panel has an LED display, a USB port and a card reader. The rear of the housing offers, among other things, an LNB IN satellite input, a LOOP OUT output, Ethernet LAN, HDMI, S/PDIF, RS-232, and analogue audio-video outputs.

HDMI and SCART - for new and older TVs

The decoder has an HDMI output, letting you send digital video and audio to a compatible TV or monitor.

The additional TV SCART connector also lets you use the device with older TV sets that don't have an HDMI input.

Ethernet LAN

The built-in Ethernet RJ45 connector lets you connect the decoder to a wired local network. Network functionality depends on the installed firmware and the device's available services.

USB port on the front panel

The USB port on the front of the housing makes it easy to connect compatible storage media and accessories. The range of supported USB functions depends on the decoder's firmware.

Digital and analogue audio outputs

The OPTICUM SLOTH Classic is fitted with a digital S/PDIF output, which can be used to connect a compatible AV receiver or other audio equipment.

Standard analogue AUDIO L/R RCA outputs and a VIDEO RCA output are also available.

LNB input and LOOP OUT

The satellite dish signal is fed into the LNB IN input. Next to it is the LOOP OUT, a pass-through output for the satellite signal to a further compatible device.

Note that when using the LOOP OUT connection, the ability to independently receive different channels at the same time may be limited by how the converter is controlled by the first tuner.
